How to make a bride look stunning with makeup
July 31, 2019How to Pick The Right Wedding Hair and Makeup
August 16, 2019With your wedding day around the corner, it’s important to take a few extra steps to ensure that your skin is glowing on your big day. Since all eyes are on you that day, you want to make sure you have even skin tone and are free from any blemishes. Check out these great beauty tips below!
Get a good night’s sleep
Getting your ZZZ’s at night, is all around an important part of any healthy skin regiment, because your skin is renews itself overnight. Reduce stress and puffiness by adding in an extra hour or two of sleep. Nobody wants to look sleep deprived on their wedding day! Having ears of experience working with brides in Toronto as a bridal makeup artist, I always recommend having eight hours or more sleep the three days leading up to the wedding date. The results this can produce will be better than any high end makeup money can buy.
Avoid new products
We know that trying new products is an exciting process, especially from brands that we really love, however it’s best to try them AFTER your nuptials. You never know how your skin is going to react to the ingredients, and the last thing you want is having to cover up spots and allergic reactions. Keep using your regular products, and steer clear of experimenting with new ones!
Stay hydrated
It’s important to drink the recommended 2 litres of water a day to reduce puffiness, and to look rested and rejuvenated. Besides having great dewy looking skin, the added bonus is that water aids in circulation, and reduces redness. Coffee step aside, we’re getting our fix of H2O!
Wash up before bed
Whether you’re a bride or not, this is a nighttime routine everyone should be following. It’s important to clear your pores from sweat, dirt and oil that have accumulated during the day. This is especially important if you’re wearing make-up! No matter how tired you are, you should always make time to wash your face before bed. I advise my brides and bridesmaids to wash their face and hair (without conditioner) before they come into my Toronto bridal salon for their big day.
These tips are essential for any bride or groom before their wedding day. There’s so much that goes into planning a wedding, that sometimes it sets you off your routine- but follow these steps to make sure you’re looking (and feeling) your best before your big day!
