October 9, 2019Sugar scrubs are a great way to exfoliate your skin for a natural glow. I personally love using this sugar scrub for my body, face and lips when I need to feel invigorated, and it’s a great alternative to store-bought scrubs because it’s fresh without the use of preservatives, and it’s free if you have all the ingredients at home! As a mobile make-up artist in Toronto, I recommend my clients to try this scrub once a week as a part of their beauty regiment.
Ingredients:
– 2 green tea teabags
– 1/2 cup of hot water
– 1 cup of coffee grounds
– 1/4 cup of melted coconut oil
Directions:
1. Add the green tea teabags to the 1/2 of hot water until cooled.
2. Pour into mixture of coffee grounds and coconut oil
3. Add to container
This super easy DIY sugar scrub includes my favourite ingredient- caffeine. As a bridal hair and make-up artist, I also recommend this recipe to brides who want their skin to glow before their big day. It being rich in antioxidants and being anti-inflammatory also helps the skin in reducing any puffiness or redness.
Every Toronto make-up artist has its own DIY skincare routine, and this one’s my favourite. Feel free to play around with the ingredients to get your preferred consistency, and I’m sure it will be yours!
